So I was burning the midnight oil at the library, and come 9 P.M., it was time to get out of there. I was packing up to go, and I saw this librarian’s assistant. She was kind of an overweight– you know, she wore a pretty fucked up sweater that made her overweight frame look ever bigger. She was kind of nerdy because she couldn’t look at you straight in the eye, and she had like a nervous stutter or stammer. Generally speaking, guys would stay away from a chick like this because, hey, you know, that’s nerd shit. Like, what’s so sexy about that? I was into books and studying, and any chick who’s really big into studying drew my eye.
So there she was, she was studying. She was sniffling a little bit. Of course, she had bad posture. Then she looked at me, I was basically saying good night because I was the last guy there. And she knew that I fit the profile of, like, the typical nerd who’s life basically just revolves around school at a 24/7 basis. She tried to make conversation, she’s telling me how they just implemented the new book numbering system. You are probably laughing because, hey, that’s such a typical nerd topic to talk about. Well, she found it exciting. And interestingly enough, I found it exciting.
So to cut a long story short, I asked her what she’s doing Friday night, and she gave me her number. I didn’t really know what to expect, it was not the first time I met up with a chick I met on https://www.findfuckfriends.com but still I was just kind of expecting that we’d talk about Dungeons and Dragons, and also share some notes on some science fiction novels we both read. I didn’t really know that Becky was going to be my introduction to the very interesting world of adult dating. So I called her up and she said, “Meet me at this place.”
Berkeley is a fairly fucking far-flung campus, you know. There’s many different buildings. There’s the main campus, and there’s some annexes. So she asked me to meet her at the annex that’s near the foothills. I was like, “What the fuck? That’s out in the boondocks!” So anyway, I said, “Cool. I’ll see you there.”
